Privacy policy

Last updated 1 November 2026

This policy explains what personal information DashPro collects, why, and how we look after it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who is responsible

There are two kinds of information in the service. Your account information (your name, email, business details and billing) is held by us as the responsible party. Your customers' information (their names, addresses, phone numbers, bookings and invoices) belongs to your business. You decide what goes in, and we store and process it for you only to run the service.

What we collect

Why we use it

To provide the service, to send you the emails the system needs to send (such as password resets, invoices and reminders you have switched on), to bill your subscription, to keep the service secure and to answer your questions. We do not sell personal information.

Who we share it with

Only the providers needed to run the service: our hosting provider, PayFast for subscription payments, and email delivery for messages sent from the service. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How we protect it

The service is served over an encrypted (https) connection. Passwords are stored in hashed form. Every business's information is kept separate from every other business's, and staff only see what their role allows. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect information and will tell you and the Information Regulator if a breach affects personal information, as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep information while your account is active. If you close your account we keep it for a short period so you can export it and then delete it, except where the law requires us to keep records (for example, invoices and payroll records).

Cookies

We use one cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, and you may object to how it is used. Customers of a business using the service should ask that business first. For our own records, email support@dashpro.co.za. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
